Before you choose

The questions worth answering early.

A clearer starting point for portable charging, CEE power and V2L compatibility.

Do portable EV chargers need installation?

A 3-pin portable charger connects to a suitable existing socket. A CEE charger requires a compatible CEE outlet; if one needs to be installed, use a qualified electrician.

Will a Type 2 portable charger work with my car?

It is intended for vehicles with a Type 2 AC charging inlet, but the vehicle's onboard charger also determines the maximum charging rate. Check the model, year and inlet before ordering.

What is the difference between 7 kW and 11 kW?

They normally depend on the available electrical supply. A 7 kW setup is typically single phase, while 11 kW normally requires three-phase power and a vehicle that can accept 11 kW AC charging.

Are V2L adapters universal?

No. V2L support and connector requirements vary by vehicle manufacturer and model. Treat V2L as vehicle-specific and confirm compatibility before purchase.

Can I use the charger outdoors?

Check the exact product's ingress-protection rating, operating-temperature range and socket guidance. The product page should state these specifications for the selected model.
